mountain

A mountain is a landform that extends over the surrounding terrain in a restricted area. A mountain is usually steeper than a hill, but there is no commonly accepted normal definition for the height of a mountain or a hill though a mountain usually has an particular summit. Mountains are normally given as heights over mean sea level. The Himalayas common 5 km above sea level, at the same time as the Andes average 4 km. Most other mountain average 2 – 2.5 km. The peak mountain on Earth is Everest, 8,848 m (29,028 feet), set in the world's most important mountain range, the Himalayas.
Sufficiently big mountains have especially different climatic conditions at the top than at the base, and will thus contain different life zones at different altitudes on their slopes. The plants and animals of a sector are somewhat lonely when the zones above and below are harsh, and many unique species take place on mountainsides as a result. Extreme cases are recognized as sky islands. Cloud forests are forests on mountain sides which be a focus for moisture from the air, creating a single ecosystem. Very tall mountains may be enclosed in ice or snow.

SYNC

The SYNC standard, repeatedly called DIN sync, defines an interface for electronic music instrument. It was introduced in the 1980s by Roland firm for synchronization of music sequencers, drum machines, arpeggiators and similar devices. The SYNC standard uses the signal device and start/stop. This means the low position is 0 V, the high position is about +5 V. The clock signal defines the speed of the progression or drum pattern.

The start/stop signal defines if the sequence is successively ie; start/stop = 0 V -> stop, start/stop = +5 V -> running. The SYNC standard uses 5 pin DIN connectors, the same as used for MIDI, but uses a special pin-out. The term DIN sync does not mean that it is a DIN normal, only that it uses DIN connectors. In some applications the outstanding pins (4 and 5) are even used as tap, fill in or reset and start. But this differs from machine to device. To connect two SYNC devices a cable with a 3 or 5 pin plug up on each side has to be used. A standard MIDI cable is not fitting as here the pins 1 and 3 may be unconnected.

Chemical reaction

A chemical reaction is a progression that results in the interconversion of chemical substances. The substance or substances initially involved in a chemical reaction are called reactants. Chemical reactions are characterized by a chemical change, and they yield one or more products which are, in general, unlike from the reactants. Classically, chemical reactions include changes that strictly involve the motion of electrons in the forming and breaking of chemical bonds, although the general concept of a chemical reaction, in particular the notion of a chemical equation, is applicable to transformation of elementary particles, as well as nuclear reactions. On the classical meaning, therefore, there are only two types of chemical reaction redox reactions and acid-base reaction. The former involve the motion of lone electrons and the latter of an electron pair. Different chemical reactions are used in combinations in chemical synthesis in order to get a preferred product. In biochemistry, series of chemical reactions aided by enzymes form metabolic pathways, since straight synthesis of a product would be energetically impossible in situation within a cell. Chemical reactions are also divided into organic reactions and non-living reactions

Cloud

A cloud is a visible mass of condensed droplets, frozen crystals suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of the Earth or another earthly body, such as a moon.  The branch of meteorology in which exhaust are studied is nephology. On Earth the condensing matter is typically water vapor, which forms small droplets or ice crystals, typically 0.01 mm in diameter. When surrounded by billions of other droplets or crystals they become observable as clouds. Dense deep clouds exhibit a high reflectance throughout the visible range of wavelengths: they thus appear white, at least from the top. Cloud droplets tend to scatter light professionally, so that the intensity of the solar radiation decreases with depth into the cloud, hence the gray or even sometimes dark exterior of the clouds at their base. Thin clouds may appear to have acquired the color of their environment or background, and clouds illuminated by non-white light, such as through sunrise or sunset, may be colored accordingly. In the near-infrared range, clouds would appear darker because the water that constitutes the cloud droplets muscularly absorbs solar radiation at those wavelengths.

ceiling fan

A ceiling fan is a machine suspended from the ceiling of a room, which employs hub-mounted rotating paddles to circulate air in order to generate a cooling effect. In summer, when the fan's direction of rotation is set so that air is blown downward, the breeze created by a ceiling fan speeds the vanishing of sweat on human skin, which is qualified as a cooling effect. In winter, buildings in colder climates are typically heated. Air naturally stratifies that is, warmer air rises to the upper limit while cooler air sinks to the floor. A ceiling fan, with its direction of revolution set so that air is drawn upward, takes cool air from lower levels in the room and pushes it upward towards the upper limit. The warm air, which logically rises to the ceiling, is forced out of the way of the conventional cool air; it travels along the ceiling and down the walls, to lower levels where people in the room can believe it. This heat-reclaiming action allows for cost reduction, by making it so that less fuel needs to be exhausted in order to heat the room to a relaxed temperature and remain it there.

Hypertension

Hypertension, commonly referred to as high blood pressure or HTN, is a medical condition in which the blood pressure is chronically elevated. While it is formally called arterial hypertension, the word "hypertension" without a qualifier usually refers to arterial hypertension. Hypertension can be classified as either essential or secondary. Essential hypertension indicates that no specific medical cause can be found to explain a patient's condition. Secondary hypertension indicates that the high blood pressure is a result of  another condition, such as kidney disease or certain tumors. Persistent hypertension is one of the risk factors for strokes, heart attacks, heart failure and arterial aneurysm, and is a leading cause of chronic renal failure. Even moderate elevation of arterial blood pressure leads to shortened life expectancy. At severely high pressures, mean arterial pressures 50% or more above average, a person can expect to live no more than a few years unless appropriately treated.Hypertension is considered to be present when a person's systolic blood pressure is consistently 140mmHg or greater, and/or their diastolic blood pressure is consistently 90mmHg or greater.

Coconut

The coconut palm is grown throughout the tropical world, for decoration as well as for its many cooking and non-culinary uses, virtually every part of the coconut palm has some human use.The flowers of the coconut palm are polygamomonoecious, with both male and female flowers in the similar inflorescence. Flowering occurs continuously, with female plants producing seeds. Coconut palms are believed to be largely cross-pollinated, although some dwarf varieties are self-pollinating. Coconut water can be used as an intravenous fluid. Nearly all parts of the coconut palm are useful, and the palms have a comparatively high yield, it therefore has important economic value. The name for the coconut palm in Sanskrit is kalpa vriksha, which translates as the tree which provides all the requirements of life. In Malay, the coconut is known as pokok seribu guna, the tree of a thousand uses. In the Philippines, the coconut is generally given the title Tree of Life. The white, fleshy part of the seed is safe to eat and used fresh or dried in cooking.

Tiger

The tiger is a mammal of the Felidae family, one of four large cats in the Panther a genus. Native to the mainland of southeastern Asia, the tiger is an apex predator and the largest feline species in the world, similar in size to the biggest fossil felids. The Bengal Tiger is the most general subspecies of tiger, constituting approximately 80% of the entire tiger population, and is found in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Nepal. An endangered species, the popular of the world's tigers now live in captivity. The tiger is introverted and territorial, preferring cover in deep forest, but also ranging in open areas. The cat hunts by stalk-and-ambush and may take a variety of mid- and large-sized prey, particularly ungulates. Males are much larger than females and have bigger home ranges. Amongst the nine extant tiger subspecies, there is major size variation.

Shipping

Shipping is basic method of transporting goods and cargo. Virtually every product ever made, bought, or sold has been exaggerated by shipping. Despite the lots of variables in shipped products and locations, there are only three basic types of shipments, land, air, and sea.Land or ground shipping can be either by train or by automobile. Trucking is easily the most accepted form of shipping. Even in Air and Sea shipments, ground transportation is still required to take the product from its origin to the airport or seaport and then to its purpose. Ground transportation is typically more affordable than air shipments, but more costly than shipping by sea. Trucks are also much quicker than ships and rail but slower than planes.

Ground shipping can be cheaper and less limiting to size, quantity, weight, and type of freight than by air transport. Air transport is usually held in reserve for products which must be sent within a shorter time frame. Shipping can more generally refer to the transport of freight, self-determining of the mode of transport.

Capacitance

Capacitance is a measure of the quantity of electric charge stored for a given electric potential. The most general form of charge storage device is a two-plate capacitor. If the charges on the plates are +Q and -Q, and V gives the voltage difference between the plates, then the capacitance is given by c=Q/v. The capacitance of the majority of capacitors used in electronic circuits is several orders of size smaller than the farad. The most ordinary units of capacitance in use today are the millifarad (mF), microfarad (µF), the nanofarad (nF) and the picofarad (pF).

The dielectric constant for a number of very useful dielectrics changes as a function of the applied electrical field, e.g. ferroelectric materials, so the capacitance for these devices is no longer purely a purpose of device geometry. If a capacitor is driven with a sinusoidal voltage, the dielectric constant, or more exactly referred to as the dielectric permittivity, is a function of frequency. A changing dielectric constant with frequency is referred to as a dielectric dispersion, and is governed by dielectric recreation processes, such as Debye relaxation.
